traveled just south of the advisory area to the central swans and enjoyed blue skis intermixed with high clouds. a couple notes: -we actually found some nice wind buffed pow on WNW face, above 8k -crust of different thickness on west and south aspects that had softened in the morning sun lent to reasonable breakable crust skiing and even some proto corn between 4500-5500' -in this area of the central swans the snow pack is only 1-2' below 4500' and taking a better from the above freezing temps and sun. -no evidence of surface hoar at any elevation -above 6000 the snow pack transitions back to a more "winter" like snow pack -minimal wind, no snow transport -it seemed that anything with a solar aspect had shed small cornices, roller balls and but no true wet slides or naturals seen
