Beautiful last road accessed tour in the apgars looked like many people were out taking advantage of the same thing. Noticed surface hoar development on sheltered N-NE facing slope at around 4500-5000 feet some really big crystal's in tree wells. We observed thin wind slabs that were pretty easy to pop off after being undercut but no shooting cracks or collapses. I could not get a crack to form without undercutting. That being said we stayed off of steeper upper elevation terrain that was obviously harboring stiffer wind drifts. On a SE aspect at around 5800 ft we noticed a very thin snowpack probably 8 inches with 3-4 inches of faceted snow overlayed with a wind slab. Really didnt want anything to do with that so we skied a sheltered lower elevation slope.
