Saw a recent large avalanche on the west face of Running Rabbit Mtn in the Goat Lick path. Forgot the good camera today so sketched a rough estimate of crown (Blue line - Red lines are outlining named avalanche paths) on the attached Google Earth image. Pretty sure this is new since Tuesday the 9th. Suspect the buried surface hoar as the failure layer. More details under the Avalanche Tab.
Crown dimensions are rough estimates. Could not see the runout and the debris terminus. Suspect this ran sometime in last couple days. Did not see it on Tue 2/9 when there was excellent visibility.
