Skinned up the south facing slopes east of WMR Saturday afternoon to see about snow stability and ski quality. Heard 2 small settlements over 1 1/2 hr uptrack but cracking off skin track was limited to 10-15cm of freshly fallen storm snow. At 5200-6400 ft there was 20-40 cm of total storm snow above the crusts. Skiing was great, although the crust could occasionally be felt on steep terrain in dense trees. Ski cut lots of steep mini features but nothing substantial broke off. Bonding to the stout south facing crusts appears to be strong at those elevations.
