Saw a crown from across the lake on a leeward aspect. Above 6500 feet on a north aspect we found soft unreactive windslabs and cornices. Felt comfortable skiing steeper sheltered terrain. The wind picked up as the day went on and we saw lots of blowing snow on ridgelines.
