appeared to be possibly triggered by cornice fall. no evidence of large detatched cornice so possibly a minor section flaked off to trigger the slide. wind slab failed in shallow rocky terrain below heavily corniced part of ridgeline. slide ran a long ways on old firm wind hammered interface. I was skiing here on sunday also prior to bulk of new snow and i noticed the new snow falling that day was too dry and not adhering well to old interface so most of the run remained firm and loud while low angle slopes offered soft snow and better skiing.
