Let the Dogs Out

When we have green light conditions, I let the dogs out:

• 2 inches of fresh snow at all elevations became moist in the afternoon except upper elevations in the shade
• Roller balls were reluctant to roll on slopes up to 30 degrees..  I suppose that just makes them balls 
• Did not observe any surface hoar or near surface facets
• Several melt freeze crusts in the top 6 inches of snow
• During our descent we noted isolated D1-D2 loose wet activity originating from low-mid elevation cliff bands on an SE aspect across the valley in the Mission Mountains.  These were viewed from at a distance so exact date/time and size were difficult to discern.
