Toured at Marias Pass area to see what the winds created over the weekend. 4 degrees at 9 am; 38 degrees at 3 pm when we returned to car. Variable conditions with 8" powder in the trees, and lots of wind effect artwork in the open areas from the N & E winds, crossloading the slopes. Skiable soft wind slab 5-10 cm. Found some soft 12-20cm deep turns on north and easterly aspects. No whumping or cracking, or slabbing off while skinning or descending (only minor dry loose minimal sluffs. Sun started attacking the top layer in earnest about 1 pm esp toward S & W. Exiting through patches of sun created ice up & lotsa glop and ice up on skiis.
