Same story, different range

Late afternoon highway binocular tour to monitor the size and distribution of loose wet avalanche activity in the Apgar and Swan Ranges. 

• Apgars:  South to West facing slopes at mid-elevations had widespread rollerballs.  Only a few of these had evolved into loose wet avalanches, mostly D1 in size, one D1.5. Rollerballs but minimal loose wet activity below about 4,500'.
• Swan Range (near Peter's Ridge):  Southeast to Southwest facing terrain had a handful of D1 sluffs (moist-looking) at mid-elevations.  Minimal rollerballs from our vantage. No good views of suspect upper or lower elevation terrain.   
• We suspect some of these slides ran today, some yesterday. Difficult to pin down the timing though.  Did not see any slides actively run.
