-Tour to the “land of Oz” (ie North of WMR)
-Found 8-12 inches covering recent melt freeze crust and isolated pockets if wind blown areas up to 15”
-that said no wind slabs found on top of new crust
-skier cuts produced small sluffs except for one convex roll that sluffed about 75 feet. ( picture from normal sluff found throughout day)
- no whomping or cracking
After investigation with little movement of storm snow, we felt comfortable skiing Dorthy’s which sluffed very little
- by 2 pm temps had warmed and roller balls started in stark contrast to a relatively light snow pack at 10pm
- one run Skook face
- then toured out to land of oz and spent midday there
-finished with a run on dorthys
