Signs that the apocalypse is near

Traveling at mid-elevations near WMR, we found wet instabilities starting to stabilize in the afternoon as the snow surface refroze.  

• Numerous rollerballs and pinwheels had run sometime in the past 12-24 hours on all aspects, mostly below 6,000'
• A new melt-freeze crust was freezing at the surface to at least 6,500'.  It is about an inch or less in thickness with an inch of new snow above and moist snow below.  The MLK freezing rain crust was about 6" deep.  No obvious persistent weak layers at these interfaces, but some low-density snow surrounding the MLK crust.   
• Very poor visibility prohibited views of avalanche terrain. We could see one fresh small natural wet loose/ mud slide on a low elevation road cut.  
• The refreezing surface was stabilizing the snow surface by this afternoon. We felt comfortable skiing steep terrain once the surface refroze.
