Noodled around lower slopes of Elk Mtn in the sunshine this afternoon to check out snow. Saw lots of evidence of wind loading on ridges and sub-ridges in varying directions. Some trees still adorned with puffs of snow, other sections whipped bare. Snapped photo about 5500' elevation. Some nice low angle turns, no slabbiness.
