Took advantage of clear skies to take a quick Highway 2 binocular tour out to Cascadilla Creek. I could make out 6 crowns on Nyack and Penrose from the 12/13 cycle. Estimated from a distance, these all appeared to be about 3 or 4 feet thick, mostly D2s with one wider D3. They were all on northeast aspects above 6,500'. Some crowns were partially blown in by subsequent drifting. Details in avalanche tab.
