Avalanche Type:
Dry
Trigger type:
Natural
More detailed information about the avalanche:

Widespread natural avalanches occurred during the 2 major storms from 2/3 to 2/10/2017.  We observed avalanches on every aspect and at all elevations. Crown depths varied, but avalanches propagated far and wide. Many avalanches released on the widespread layer of facets above the Jan. 19 melt-freeze crust.

See the observation for the 2/4/2017 avalanche incident that resulted in one full and one partial burial.
