These 2 twin avalanches appear to have occured the morning of February 17. The nearest weather station to this incident, West Glacier RAWS, reported above freezing temperatures for approximately 48 hours with 0.51" of rain prior to this avalanche. Most of this rain occured in the hours leading up to the avalanche.
